Welcome to the Fishers of Men Life Group blog. Our class wants to be intentional in inviting new members to our class, so this blog is created so current and potential members can learn more about our McGregor Baptist Church, our class, see photos of our latest social events, and view our weekly prayer list. 

During the Life Groups Leadership Conference held at McGregor Baptist Church on Sunday, August 18, 2013, we developed several ideas about how to attract new members to our class: 

1. Prepare business cards for our class that can be presented to friends, business colleagues, church attendees departing a worship service, and others in the 55+ age range. 
2. Prepare a blog for sharing class news, photos of recent social events, and other interesting church news for our class. 
3. Enlist an outreach leader who checks on class members absent each week and who develops a contact plan for potential class members. 
4. Convince all class members to consider Life Groups who we are. 

Every church member should have a Life Group, and we should encourage those who don't have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ to first join a Life Group. We also learned today that we need to love God, love people, love our church, and love our Life Group! We need to invite people to our Life Group, discover the truth in God's Word, and connect with all Life Group members!
